In this position I was primarily responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial claim invoices to the Wanganui and South Taranaki District Councils respectively along with their accompanying monthly reports. I was also tasked with the gathering and management of various financial and economic data for use in both internal and external analysis through the preparation of business cases, KPI reporting, and supplying additional assistance to council when necessary. A major project as part of this position has been the development of the claim invoice spreadsheets in both the high level planning and operational stages for these contracts. These spreadsheets draw from a number of data reports which I generate to compute a monthly invoice to the client for the work we have completed throughout the month. I have also been closely associated with the data management and planning of the Wanganui CCTV project. This project aims to camera and access the condition of all critical wastewater and stormwater pipe assets in Wanganui in order to forecast and budget future preventative maintenance and capital expenditure.While operating in this position I have also had the opportunity to gain a large amount of experience in administration and dispatch, from the generation and allocation of workorders to staff, processing supplier invoices, raising purchase orders and ordering stock, stock management, supplier and client interaction, IT support, filing, and information management.

Wanganui

My position at Eastown timber involved sorting, handling and preparation of timber products for sale. I have experience in both the timber processing and retail businesses. In regards to my role in processing, we would receive wet timber which would be machined, dried, and then remachined into it's final timber product for sale to commercial customers. This often involved heavy lifting and careful attention to detail to ensure a high quality standard was maintained throughout the machining process. For a period of time I also worked for the retail arm, Eastown Roundwood Ltd. This involved cleaning and being on hand in the timber yard to assist customers choose their timber, cutting it to the right dimensions, purchasing and loading it into their vehicles.
