I believe deeply that people and culture matter. Though there are many factors, success begins and ends with people-focused leadership. I have over 18 years of experience in the restaurant industry. I started my career as a host just trying to make ends meet in a crazy LaLa land. I had no idea it would lead me to where I am now and loved the entire journey. I have worked my way through most positions in the restaurant and as a result have a respect and understanding of what each role requires. I transitioned into a leadership role over 15 years ago and couldn't be happier with the opportunities afforded to me. I always look for the opportunity to return the favor and develop team members who show interest in furthering their careers in the restaurant. Whether its a progression to a new role in the restaurant or the desire to one day become a manager, I help them along the way. I have experience in hiring, training, effective schedule writing, forecasting, sales building, customer service , P&L Management and overall restaurant operations.

Hired as the General Manager of the Santa Monica restaurant and produced 12% profit increase YOY in 2017 & 2018. I was then promoted to Regional Operations Manager within 2 years to oversee 10 locations around Southern California. I helped develop 3 new GM's to the Umami Brand that in 1-2 months time turned from a negative EBITDA to a positive of 2+% at each location. We also lowered our turn-over rate across the SoCal region by 20%. I also promoted (3) chefs that took over kitchens in 2 of our highest grossing locations. Created new Day in the Life for the GM's to follow to keep them on task and awareness of how their locations are doing in real time. Helped trouble shoot and implement a reporting database that helped chefs/GMs know how much they are spending compared to realtime sales. We lowered food cost in my region by 1.2-2% respectively in the last 6 months. Show less

I overlapped a sister company to Galdstone's to start a new concept called Riordan's Tavern. It was to replace the bakery of the already established The Pantry. I was in charge of the Hiring, developing and direction of each of the staff members. I also structured the cost analysis to ensure margin goals were met. I developed a concierge program to bring notority to the new concept to build the brand in the commmunity.

I worked up from the host position to banquet captain as a server. From there I became Banquet Manager that ran every booked Banquet for over 1.5 years. I then moved into the Guest relations role that filtered through every guest complaint to resolve each issue. I worked with the Health Department to avoid any further action and responded with proper resolution. I continued to develop promotional programs to grow the business through the local hotels and outreach programs for the community.
