About Evan Richards
EVAN RICHARDS is a Southern California-based tenor and conductor studying at Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, through the guidance of Professor Patrick Goeser and Maestro Danko Druško. Amassing over a decade of experience in the performing arts, Evan’s vocation as a musician has presented him with numerous opportunities, including his recent role debut of Sesto (Giulio Cesare) in Arezzo, Italy. Other notable roles include: Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Azor (Zémire et Azor), Le Chat (L'enfant et les sortilèges), Tommy (This is the Rill Speaking), Raúl/Commander (Journey to Córdoba), and Third Vendor (Las Tres Mujeres de Jerusalén) with LA Opera under the direction of Maestro James Conlon. He has sung in Austria, Canada, China, Czechia, Hong Kong, Italy, Poland, Taiwan, and over half of the United States. He is currently the tenor soloist for the Chapman University Singers and Early Music Ensemble, the conservatory’s premiere ensembles for their respective literature. Evan is also on Opera Chapman’s roster as a principal singer in scenes and mainstage performances.Before entering the classical scene, Evan was a member of the All-American Boys Chorus for eight years, taking part in over 700 concerts and events, including collaborations with BYU Vocal Point, Chanticleer, David Benoit, Duwende, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, and Peter Hollens, among others. Once his tenure as a soloist in the program ended, he volunteered hundreds of hours to the organization before joining its faculty.
