CurrentThanks to the support of communities and phenomenal people around the country, every day I have the privilege of working for Who We Play For. Who We Play For is the one of the largest heart screening non-profit in the country. Our mission is to eliminate preventable sudden cardiac death in the young by providing affordable electrocardiogram (ECG) heart screenings. WWPF brings affordable, efficient and non-invasive ECG heart screenings to communities in many regions across the country. Our vision is to inspire & empower schools, sports clubs and communities to provide heart screenings for every student athlete no matter their level of athletics, socio-economic status or geographical location. Our impact, thus far, includes providing ECG heart screenings for hundreds of thousands of student athletes across 500+ communities. WWPF has saved hundreds of young lives by identifying previously undetected life-threatening heart conditions that required immediate medical intervention. WWPF has also identified thousands of minor heart abnormalities, which can lead to SCA later in life. Through local, state and federal laws and advocacy bills, WWPF has educated millions on the immense public health crisis that is SCA.Nearly a decade later, Who We Play For has has become the leading heart screening nonprofit in the country. By utilizing technology and telehealth to provide affordable heart screenings we are positioned to end this major public health problem.
