I work on several kinds of projects which include providing technical assistance to both federal and state education agencies focused on improving equity and improving systems in the public education system in the US. My role across projects include leading network engagement activities and managing an online community of practice of over 2000 members working towards broadening participation in STEM; leading capacity building workshops for various State Departments of Education on data-based decision making; building capacity of STEM evaluators on culturally responsive evaluation practices, and working with local state departments of education to improve systems based on their need.

Oversee operations for the Maternal and Young Child Health Initiative including management of a 22-person team, continuous program evaluation, and developing and reviewing plans for new initiatives. Develop organizational strategies to create local ownership of the vision and mission.Conducted multiple training workshops for staff on team building, leadership skills, communication and behavior change strategies and technical skills on maternal and child health.Develop systems and processes for human resource management including recruitment, new employees induction, salaries and benefits and performance management of employees.Developed a project proposal for starting a new initiative with unmarried adolescent girls in the intervention area.

Worked with a team led by Stephen Richardson to conduct a mapping and market analysis of current capacity development needs and demands of the education in emergency (EiE) sector to inform the capacity building strategy for INEE .

Part of a team which conducted an evaluation of the US Department of Education's grant awarded to the Massachusetts Public Charter Schools Association to develop the Massachusetts Charter School Collaborative Access Network (MassCS-CAN) in Western Massachusetts and Boston/Cambridge. Assisted the editor for the American Journal of Evaluation (AJE) to find reviewers.Assisted the local IRB (Institution Review Board) to review submissions.Project Assistant to the Department Chair of the Education Policy Research and Administration department.

Managed, compiled and analyzed project performance data across 10 states on natural resource management programs, livestock development initiatives, women’s empowerment and primary education for over 70 ITC-funded projects across India. Managed project performance of five primary education projects that were implemented by non-profit partner organizations in the states of Bihar and West Bengal in India.

Provided technical assistance to the state health and education departments, as one of the implementing partners, for the Vistaar project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Assistance focused on nutrition and education strategies for adolescent girls to delay the age of marriage and reduce rates of anemia.Developed a life skill education module for adolescent girls focused on sexual reproductive health, age of marriage and anemia which was rolled out at government schools in 5 districts in Jharkhand.Conducted several train the trainer workshops for government school teachers and state department health officials on the roll out of the module.Conducted multiple training workshops with government school leaders and district health and education officers on gender and equity and basics of counseling.Conducted a study and co-wrote a report on the prevalence of child labor in the mica mines in 2 districts which was commissioned by ILO.Participated and wrote up reports on the review of National Level Youth Policies.

I was the Human Resource and Beyond School (a program designed for youth) Executive for the non-profit with a mission to provide children from low-income communities with a high-quality education, enabling them to maximize their potential and transform their lives. Managed recruitment, orientation and retention of office staff, teachers and volunteers for 25 learning centers.Developed organizational strategies to improve retention of staff, teachers and volunteers.Led and managed the social leadership program for youth to become social change agents in Pune. Developed training modules and conducted sessions on life skill education, building self awareness and career development for youth.Led and coordinated an annual event with over 100 participants for students across the learning centers in Pune.
