My responsibilities as an Earth Science intern within the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit included the following:• Constructed a static geocellular model of Ballymore field and compared it to a pre-existing model associated with a significantly different stratigraphic architecture via flow diagnostics and full field simulations• Closely collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and QC thoroughly documented fit-for-purpose technical deliverables and presented key results and recommendations to management• Insights from this work influenced future Ballymore modeling efforts and the identification of impactful uncertainties ahead of a ~$1.5B final investment decision

My internship, originally planned to be a summer internship, was extended by DJR Energy until May 2018.My responsibilities as a year-long intern included the following:• Described San Juan basin core and studied outcrops of key oil-rich objectives (e.g., Dakota Sandstone, Mancos Shale's 'silt' and Gallup sands), which ultimately aided in the refinement of a petrophysical model and influenced the locations of DJR's 2019 horizontal wells• Mapped petrophysical-derived data (e.g., porosity, hydrocarbon saturation, etc.) with Petra and digitized scanned images of well logs with NeuraLog software• Managed DJR Energy’s assets database with ArcGIS Desktop and P2 Energy Solutions software

Senior honors thesis title: Late Pleistocene climatic conditions inferred from sandy silt infill of a relict thermal-contraction-wedge in shale bedrock near Carlisle, PennsylvaniaI inferred local paleoclimatic conditions from sediment infill of a relict central Pennsylvania thermal-contraction-wedge by determining the potential bedrock sources, modes of transportation, and age of the infill.
