My responsibilities as an Operations Geologist within the Mid-Continent Business Unit include the following:• Supported 130+ wells associated with 6 different rig lines (up to 5 rigs at a time), 7 Midland and Delaware Basin development areas, and 28+ geologic targets• Onboarded third party geosteering providers and developed geosteering strategies prior to pad execution• Monitored vertical and production hole section execution 24/7 and provided real-time support as needed (e.g., called casing points, landed wells, reviewed geosteering interpretations, served as 1st point of contact for geosteerers during execution, provided guidance to field and office-based cross-functional stakeholders)• Prepared data-driven geosteering loopback documentation aimed at improving execution efficiency and tying production data to geology• Optimized workflows and grew my team's data analysis capabilities in a fast-paced environment by generating a suite of python scripts that are now gaining interest across other Chevron Shale & Tight-related teams
