-Served as a mentor/tutor in a self-contained Special Education high school classroom for students with behavioral/emotional issues.-Worked as a member of a team of including teachers, teacher aids, and other mentors in order to engage the students in an alternative learning program. The presence of myself and the other mentors helped to manage the students' behavior as well as boost academic performance. I was able to form close and beneficial relationships with students from various demographics. In many cases, I was able to relate classroom subjects to experiences or topics the students could understand. I applied my conflict resolution skills to situations involving students, teachers, and administrators.

As Head Supervisor of the Intramural Sports Department, I was able to balance the clashing roles of an authority figure and a peer to both employees and program participants. I played a direct role in maintaining behavior and conduct codes within the program, and using disciplinary action when necessary. I also led the application, interview, and hiring processes for both prospective and current employees. These situations allowed me to prove that I am willing and able to make the tough decisions regarding my peers.My duties also consisted of training and evaluating current staff, as well as scheduling employee shifts each week. I also oversaw these shifts, serving as the authority figure and first emergency respondent to groups of up to 20 employees and 100 participants at a time. I promoted the program by face-to-face interaction throughout campus, as well as through various social media outlets including Twitter and Facebook.
