CHAPTER 5: SCALING THE GOOD STUFFMy primary focus stepping into my role as Strategy Director was to figure out how we could efficiently accomplish more of the good work coming out of our team. While also saying no to the work that was not having an outsized impact.Establishing frameworks, adjusting methodologies, and integrating new processes, is where I am finding the most success in the arena of talent marketing.

CHAPTER 4: EMBARKING ON TALENT MARKETINGA strange thing happened between 2020-2021. For one, I got married! For another, I fell in love in a different type of way with talent marketing. In my role as Associate Strategy Director I launched headfirst into this nuanced realm. Articulating a perspective that it's not about influencers, but those who wield authentic influence. Blending both my love of data, with my storytelling skills, allowed me to help brands refine their own talent marketing efforts. Pushing for new thinking around talent evaluation, campaign measurement, and the integration of talent at key brand touchpoints.

CHAPTER 3: PIVOTING TO STORYTELLINGWhile the entire world was going through a period of unprecedented change, my latest role as Associate Strategist was providing my own professional transformation.Moving beyond the confines of social and digital, I began to fully immerse myself in GMR's core experiential business. Taking my expertise in data and allowing it to impact how we should best tell the stories of our client roster.This role allowed me to be part of the entire process from pitch to post-event wrap-up. All the while weaving in data-driven market research and social intelligence to ensure the work will authentically delight all who engage with our campaigns.One fun addition to this role - as part of the Omnicom Group family, I worked with TBWA\Chiat\Day as a Backslash Spotter - helping to identify cultural trends and position their importance in the modern advertising world.

CHAPTER 2: HONING A CRAFTIn becoming a Social Media Analyst I had determined what my niche was going to be in the advertising landscape. It was always going to have something to do with social media, but now I was doubling down on the data side.In the past few years, social media marketing has dramatically changed. It’s not always about the number of people who see your posts and it’s certainly not about how many “likes” you get on a post. It’s about actually creating something that will make your audience feel and respond in the desired way.In this position, I made it my job to know how to do this best. This might include setting up measurable benchmarks, tracking performance in real-time, synthesizing large data sets, and providing insightful analysis upon the conclusion of a campaign. I managed this process by combining social listening, social metrics, and social intelligence together to illustrate the scope and success of each and every campaign.
