I am a computer engineer and an artist seeking to combine my creative insight with my technological expertise.I have been an active, independent computer enthusiast since I learned to read and talk. As I grew, I taught myself various forms of programming and applied them to my own ends, including managing my music collection and assisting with 3D printing research. I took the next step by studying Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, an experience that reshaped my understanding of the field. I then served at Charmworks as a staff engineer in the high-performance computing space, and I continue to maintain Charm++ today. Now at NVIDIA, I work on the Nsight Systems performance analysis tool. I also co-founded Voidpoint, the development team that shipped the acclaimed first-person shooter, Ion Fury. (We were named IndieDB Players Choice #1 and Shacknews Best Old School Throwback of 2019.)At a technical level, I am proficient in architecting features, debugging, performance analysis, refactoring, code review, unit testing, continuous integration, documentation, and issue tracking. I place emphasis on effectiveness, ease of use (both for users and other developers), code clarity, and performance. More generally, I am skilled at problem solving, organization, self-teaching, and public speaking.
