Hydrology, Hydraulics and Geomorphology Unit.Hydrographers support the Hydrologic Data Measurement and Management Project within the Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Geomorphology Unit which provides basic modeling calibration/data for the Districts Flood Control and Groundwater Recharge programs, and many other internal/external customers. Hydrographers support the continued expansion of the current 148 surface water gage network and ensuring continued compliance with both the District Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreements and the recently implemented State Water Resources Control Board legislation, Emergency Regulation for Measuring and reporting Diversion of Water (Senate Bill 88).

Facilitated installation of GOES telemetry systems, recorded stream discharge/stage measurements with FlowTracker 2 instrumentation and software, helped construct Water Log stream gages and orifice lines, compiled streamflow rating curves in WISKI, completed bi-yearly service of Hydrolynx and High Sierra Electronics Rain Gauges and surveyed over 20 streamgaging stations with Leica LS10 digital level.
