Current• Independently operate and maintain assigned stations in a hydrologic data collection network which may include stream, reservoir, precipitation, and/or water temperature gages including radio telemetry options.• Independently perform streamflow measurements in the full range of flow conditions using a variety of flow meters and measurement methods.• Operate and maintain field and office equipment for gathering and analyzing hydrologic data.• Compile and interpret hydrologic data; identify trends in order to maintain shifted rating curves.• Prepare clear and concise reports.• Interpret and apply applicable federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations.• Advise apprentice staff and participate in internal/external customers discussions as it relates to the Surface Water Network/hydrologic data.• Stay abreast of new technology by participating in various conferences, vendor training, industry meetings and inter-agency discussions.• Perform as assigned, small projects that benefit the long-term Hydrologic Data Measurement and Management Project while supporting many internal projects/programs requirements.
