Current student-athlete, aspiring engineer, and lifelong interest in learning new things. I am a senior in the School of Engineering at Santa Clara University, where I am pursuing a B.S. in Bioengineering. I am or will be taking courses this upcoming year that introduce me to bioengineering and other life sciences. What drew me to major in bioengineering was the potential to mix my interests in science and technology with the goal of progressing healthcare and improving the lives of others immensely. Since then, I have seen and been a part of research that could potentially advance medical devices and treatment, and this immersion has only increased my excitement and drive to work in this industry and continue to help it grow.Outside of school, I have been playing Water Polo for 11 years, which has taught me how to connect and work with others as a team and how to manage my time effectively. I am actively looking to gain experience working in clinical research and engineering, especially involving medical devices or biomaterials.
