➢ Reporting to the Materials Controller, my responsibilities includes but were not limited to:➢ Managing the efficient and timely processing of warehouse requisitions/receipts/issues.➢ Ensuring compliance with both organizational and statutory safety standards.➢ Controlling the safe and effective receipt/storage and delivery of chemicals, gases and dangerous goods ensuring staff comply with all designated safety practices and regulations. ➢ Ensuring close communication with and providing operational support to on-site contractor warehouses;
• ➢ Carrying out regular performance reviews on all direct reports and where applicable,➢ Nominating appropriate training courses; Commensurate with each individual’s abilities.➢ Assigning more complex duties as required sustaining the operations of the warehouse.

➢ Ensuring the necessary planning of all freight movements both within Zambia, Southern Africa and abroad➢ Ensuring tracking report from Logistics provider is a true and accurate reflection of the current status of all outstanding consignments.➢ Effective freight planning and scheduling of reagents and grinding media between the inventory section, processing department and suppliers➢ Liaising with purchasing group on the freight priority of all goods➢ Weekly planning of freight movements with transport companies➢ Weekly and Monthly reporting of freight statistics; Daily and Weekly arrival dates of transport➢ Advising site wide users of order status➢ Management of freight contracts.➢ Ensuring LMC and LMC’s logistics provider is complaint with Zambian Customs and ZRA regulations. ➢ Liaising with senior management regarding importation and exportation of critical equipment.➢ Liaising and providing assistance to other departments regarding Customs and Duty issues on imported and exported goods.➢ Coordination of insurance requirements for goods transported on behalf of LMC.➢ Manage Quality Assurance in relation to provision of material movements and services for the operation.➢ Develop and implement policies and procedures.➢ Managing stock taking ➢ Manage all Human Resources activities within the section, including recruitment➢ Management of Supply and Logistics Contractors including performance evaluation, in order to provide the best commercial outcome for the Company.

• Stock take management;
 Warehouse movement reconciliation;
 Stock reorder, maintenance and management;
Fuel receipt, issue, management and reconciliation.• Enforce and apply the supply warehouse procedures and evaluate current procedures; Manage stocks in and out of warehouse;, Recruit and train staffs in stock control and procedures• Liaising with account payable to solve and minimize receiving discrepancies in an expeditious manner to facilitate invoice payment and at the same time claim money by chasing for credit notes especially where goods have been previous paid in transit.• Co ordinate receiving activities by ensuring accurate data entry to avoid invoice mismatch. Contact suppliers if invoice or delivery notes information is incorrect and resolve in an expeditious manner . Prepare and supply information for month end report. Make sure all sales orders are processed and completed timely for department al costs to be reflected within the right transaction period.
