This scholarship is available to graduating Seniors of Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, IA. 100% of the proceeds of this scholarship are raised through the Joel and Barb Schaefer Memorial Golf Tournament (that I started) held every summer at Stone Creek Golf Club. - Ensuring bid commitments are met for all Operations & Logistics areas of responsibility.- Overseeing the logistical coordination of building nine temporary structure party lounges in the main concourse of University of Phoenix Stadium.- Overseeing the National Football League (NFL) credentialing process for stadium employees, Host Committee staff, volunteers and members of our Board of Directors.- Working closely with FAA, airports, and FBOs to ensure communications and flight plans are clearly defined with special attention to VIP arrivals and departures in addition to team and fan travel.- Working with airports, city officials and emergency preparedness to create inject scenarios to be used during Emergency Preparedness Tabletop Exercises. - Coordinating the creation and execution of a security plan for Super Bowl Central, the epicenter of all Super Bowl activities expected to draw over 1,000,000 people encompassing a 12 block campus, open container campus.- Coordinating a communication plan that encompasses all transportation, security and volunteers in the Downtown Phoenix area.- Managing, coordinating and overseeing a staging budget inclusive of radios, security personnel for Super Bowl Central, and Infrastructure of Party Lounges of over $1,500,000. - Coordinating the Incident Command System (ICS) as a part of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) by creating an Event Action Plan for Super Bowl Central. - Overseeing the implementation of the NFL’s Customer Service Training Program (Fans First!) and working with our vendors to ensure compliance with the expectations set by the NFL.

- Managed, coordinated and oversaw event budgets ranging from $1000 to over $1,300,000 in combined event expenditures.- Oversaw the execution of over 200 events annually.- Negotiated and executed over 90 performance agreements with national and international talent annually.- Coordinated university wide marketing efforts in ensuring consistency with organizational and university brands. - Constructed, coordinated and executed special events for the students of ASU including the annual Fall Welcome Concert, Homecoming, Devils on Mill (Premiere Student Tailgate Experience), Devilpalooza and other University events that were assigned.- Oversaw the creation of the first non-athletic in house ticketing system.- Created floor plans, site maps and security plans in accordance with effective risk management practices.- Managed all support staff with operational responsibilities surrounding the event.- Served as a consultant providing event management advice to ASU staff and students. - Coordinated services including cleaning, security, food, beverage and catering operations, building operations, deliveries, event ticketing and parking, as well as the anticipation, identification, and solution of problems relative to member and guest services.- Collaborated and coordinated with various municipalities from around the Valley to produce events at all four of ASU’s campus locations. - Created and collaborated with the Director of Emergency Preparedness to create Incident Action Plans (IAP) encompassing necessary life safety protocol should an incident occur.- Created, facilitated and chaired a formal RFP process to find the vendors that would supply tent/event equipment and concert production for all ASU events. - Served as the operations and logistics coordinator for Lantern Walk (ASU’s oldest tradition) and staging the ASU Homecoming Parade.- Serve as a member of the Emergency Management Team on Game Day in Sun Devil Stadium.

Served as an adviser to four different committees, oversaw a variety of small and large scale events and chaired the committee that was responsible for allocating over $11.5 million in student fees to various campus departments.
