About Evelyn Maxson
I'm currently a senior Computer Science major at UTD, with a year of experience in IT in a Help Desk/Field Service position with Silver Linings Technology (SLT). I have assisted companies with implementation and maintenance of various IT systems in my role at SLT, and worked on interesting Cybersecurity projects as a student at UTD. Some examples include: - Executed XDR cyber system rollout for my client and currently maintain system to ensure security compliance on 50+ systems supporting 100+ users.- SOP writer and auditor, wrote 7 new SOP’s detailing client system troubleshooting and management, updated 5+ SOP’s for client system set-up/troubleshooting/provisioning. - As a student at UTD, I am currently working with a team to develop a front and back end for an open source Machine Learning Intrusion Detection System, that will provide researchers with a platform to compare data and effectiveness of different IDS models.I enjoy opportunities where I get to work on cybersecurity systems, especially those with a focus on networks. I am always excited to work on new, challenging projects!
