I am currently a Sr. Project Engineer at SOLV Energy, one of the world's leading contractors in solar energy. My company is leading the charge into new renewable territory and I am proud of the opportunities that I have been provided. As a project engineer, I ensure the progression of our project through my technical, social, and analytical skills. I utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking modules and electrical products to meet schedule deadlines, ensure installation is at a reasonable pace, and hold companies accountable for quantities established by contractual obligations. I coordinate through Microsoft Teams meetings and keep meeting notes to create a timeline of expectations and organize information for my teams. I make sure to relay this information to all parties involved in the process, whether that's laborers who are a part of the installation, other project engineers who rely on my scope meeting numbers, and my project manager who drives the project to success. With production requirements, union labor laws, unexpected weather, delivery obstructions, and budget restrictions, a lot of moving factors go into building out a project. It's important to ask questions, coordinate with your team, and keep an open mind.
