Sourcing Manager
CurrentJob Summary Procures specialized items and executes complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans at the optimum cost, quality and relationship. Conducts complex analysis of sourcing information and presents findings to purchasing and supply chain leadership for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining high quality product and service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently procures inventory, supplies, and capital goods and arranges timely deliveries.Analyzes complex sourcing and purchasing initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high quality goods and services.Prepares and presents to senior purchasing/sourcing leadership recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action.Evaluates consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.Supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price bench marking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.Leads analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts.Negotiates select contracts; develop effective relationships with vendors and suppliers favorable for company business.Interviews sales representatives and vendors.Consults with the Law Department to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk for the Company.
