Case Manager Aftercare
As former burns care nurse and active in the medical device industry on burn centers, among other things, I've started to work since 9/2022 at OSCARE as Case Manager Aftercare and Aftercare Coordinator BRANACO (partially).Oscare vzw, formerly known as the Greet Rouffaerhuis, is the centre of excellence for burns and all kinds of scar aftercare, prevention & sensibilization, (international) education and (academic) research. They try to offer the most high-quality aftercare outside a hospital context in the most accessible way possible. They contribute to improving the quality of life of adults and children with burns and/or all types of scars through aftercare(physical, psychological, social, etc.), education, prevention and academic research.I will be involved in supervision and quality management of the patient's aftercare pathway. Other tasks will be being the liaison with the burn centers and provide support in health literacy, eHealth applications and scientific research, including the BRANACO project, and preventive educational trainings on different subjects and age groups. I'm member of the general assembly of the 4 primary care zones (PCZs, >NL: ELZn) in Antwerp and am in contact with the PCZs of the region "Noorderkempen en Voorkempen".You will find me largely at our headquarters in Merksem, or at the burns center or in the field where necessary.You can reach me via evert.de.rijcker@oscare.be .

A pearl is beautiful and loved, but above all a valuable, durable and pure form that has grown slowly and solidly in a natural way into an almost perfect round sphere, marked by its growth process.The 'shine' of pearls depends on the reflection (communication) and the refraction of light (interpersonal collaboration and interaction) in its translucent layers.That's why we take the 'pearl / M.A.R.I.T.' as a metaphor for who we are and what we stand for.Marit is also the name of our deceased daughter to whom we also want to pay our respects this way.
