About Rebecca Taylor

Pragmatic with a creative flair and passionate about veterans advocacy, workers rights, sustainability, and aging policy issues! An unprecedented number of seniors are fast outpacing existing services nationwide; By 2060, our population of older adults 65+ is projected to skyrocket from 43.1 to 92 million. Now is the time to address those challenges via strategic planning, interdisciplinary collaborations, policy development, and evidence based practices. I'm interested in: - community organizing, public affairs, data analyst, advocacy roles - bridging policy gaps that cause barriers to accessing vital support services (i.e. In California seniors on SSI were ineligible for CalFresh until 2019)- ending homelessness- transportation and sustainability issues- promoting health and wellness among older adults (prevention is crucial for maintaining a high quality of life)- raising awareness for veterans, LGBTQ, and end of life issues-expanding access to living wages, quality healthcare, safe working conditions - intergenerational programs (mutually beneficial for both generations)- empowering seniors to thrive in their own communities- promoting social justice and equity for all- combating ageism, preventing elder abuse, and ending food insecurity among older adults!She/Her/hers
