• Led a team of Commissioning Managers responsible for a range of commissioned content (c£12m pa) including databases; full text journals; ebooks; British National Formulary; and specialist bespoke resources;• Bespoke resources included 34 specialist collections, designed to filter and present evidence and work with communities of practice;• Managed transition of team and work programmes to NICE, including review of NLH programmes and supporting team through TUPE.

• Responsible for collections development and the Senior Responsible Owner for content commissioned and purchased by the NLH; • Commissioned content included a collection of Specialist Libraries to organise and share high quality evidence on common conditions and service delivery, working with communities of practice;• Responsible for national NHS contracts for bibliographic databases, electronic journals and e-book collections.

• Responsible for a portfolio of projects applying technologies (e.g. grid-enabling datasets; text mining) to enhance data/knowledge/information management in the research lifecycle;• Key responsibilities included ensuring synergy within the theme and promoting best practice in project management across the projects;• Highlights included a feasibility study into a shared data management service; a call for projects to explore text mining in the social sciences.

• Member of a small team working with NHS and McKesson colleagues to develop an implementation toolkit for NHS organizations wishing to expand functionality of the Electronic Staff Record locally; • Worked as a Project Manager on site with 2 pilot NHS organizations, as part of a wider Benefits Activation project, designed to implement the toolkit, capture benefits realized to date and develop action plans.
