About Evi Carrillo, Lmhc-D, Lpc, Pmh-C

My vision is to create a world where mental health is accessible, inclusive, and empowering for everyone. I am deeply committed to serving Black and Brown communities and the LGBTQ+ community, advocating for equitable access to mental health resources and culturally competent care. My unwavering passion for helping others and interest in psychology has been with me since high school. It has pushed me to obtain my Bachelor's degree focused in Psychology from St. John's University. I also minored in Sociology, which sparked how essential it was for my career to include social advocacy. I continued my thirst for higher education at Hunter College and became a Mental Health Counselor. And after attaining experience in the field, I can go on to achieve my PhD in Clinical Psychology. Psychology is such a multifaceted career field and I look forward to utilizing all that I can through research, direct service and aiding in the destigmatization of mental health. Let's connect and collaborate to promote mental health, equity and resilience in our communities!
