Ewan Malcolm is an experienced mediation professional who has worked throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. As a thought-leader and a well-respected practitioner, he has pioneered the development of mediation in Scotland. Since November 2013 has been employed as Chief Executive of Relate London North West & Hertfordshire https://www.relate.org.uk/london-north-west-and-hertfordshire which is a charity that promotes healthy relationships by providing counselling, mediation and training services.In 2008 Ewan was named the first Mediator of the Year at the Law Awards of Scotland. He has been described as a “magnet for serious and innovative people, who can appreciate the value of his own work and above all the rewards of working in collaboration with such an inspiring and effective person.” Ewan was a partner in a top law firm in Scotland for nearly two decades. Since 1995 he has forged a successful career specialising in high value, high conflict commercial, labor and divorce disputes. He established the Scottish Mediation Network in 2002 and was its chief officer until 2009 when he transferred his practice to London. He completed the Masters program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation at the University of London achieving a distinction.Having lived in New York City for two years (2011-13), he is now back in the United Kingdom living in London and Edinburgh, where he continues to develop his mediation practice. He is Chief Executive of Relate London North West. Ewan also serves on the Boards of the College of Mediators and the Family Mediation Council.
