So life gave me opportunities few could dream of. No lemons for lemonade here - I got a field of four leaf clovers! I am proud to have had significant influence on multi-million dollar large investments. I have worked in Europe, America and Africa, in offices creating technical specifications, assessing equipment arrangements, and participating in safety assessments such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs and Risk Analyses. In addition I have spent much of my life in the field in the dirty coveralls, supervising (you know: cajoling / bullying and following up) execution of own and others technical plans, focussing on safe and efficient performance.I have always sought line of fire jobs or exposed positions where nobody's perfect, but low performers seldomly remain…. I have been doing it for over 25 years now. Figuratively speaking, hands on jobs where you contribute to the organisation's actual purpose. For me this always beats safe staff positions where….. yeah whatever. The sense of self driven achievement is good, and I enjoy proactively working towards getting things done and taking initiative.Professionally I have alternated between large complex innovative capital investment projects, building the future by devising innovative machinery arrangements on new building oil rigs and seeing the projects through; and between leading teams on offshore rigs - always seeking safe and efficient execution of the programmed work.For the past 20 years formally my titles have been Project Manager, Drilling and Completion Senior Supervisor or Senior Lead Specialist. I comfortably manage the scope and time of projects, where risk management is integral and although detail always bites, it is imperative to keep an eye on the big picture. I started out as a technically competent and analytic mechanical engineer.
