About Elizabeth Hall
I developed a love for Data Science while working for MIT in the Big Data field of High Energy Particle Physics. To follow my passion and learn the intricacies of Data Science in the industry world side, I chose to purse a Diploma in Data Science where I polished my skills in Python and Bash while developing some new ones, like MySQL and Tableau. As a Research Physicist, it is important to have a fundamental understanding of the physical world around us and to be able to formulate a comprehensive narrative around your workflow and results. Telling the story of your work in an understandable and digestible way to colleagues and the general public. I am passionate about bringing High Energy Physics analysis methods and norms into the world of Data Science.While working on MicroBooNE at the Fermi Accelerator National Lab (FANL), my team and I were able to showcase and present our analysis methods and results at many conferences (such as the American Physical Society April Meeting, Division of Particles and Fields, and Neutrino) as well as published papers (see my publications below). I hope to bring this level of communication along with me in my Data Science journey.

Regular presentations to the Collaboration (about 100 scientists)* Contributed to development and implementation of analysis tools to probe the MiniBooNE low-energy excess with MicroBooNE data* Developed a C++/ROOT module, as part of a larger image-based reconstruction package, to apply uniformity maps to event images to produce more accurate track reconstruction and machine learning based particle identification* Studied electron recombination, fitting a modified-box model to both data and simulation, to obtain there constructed energy for proton tracks
