CTO (Chief Technology Officer) – for Intale S.A. Assigned the task of taking the initial concept of this start-up (the stand alone ikiosk PoS App) and designing and implementing a new solution that as well as having global scalability, enterprise level specifications and quality had to be a 100% Cloud solution.I single-handedly designed the complete structure and architecture of what is now the new Intalepoint PoS that was implemented using a huge variety of different technologies including:Visual Studio .Net (MVC 5), Microsoft SQL, Small PC Board, MySQL, PHP, iOS AppOver the course of the first 2 years I hand-picked developers one by one and as and when resources became available, slowly built up a 10 strong team of extremely highly qualified and diversely talented developers creating an enterprise level engineering department in order to bring the initial vision to fruition.The company overall has now grown from 7 employees to >25 employees during that period and as planned is now in a position to spread its wings and start the third phase - global expansion.As the team grew so did the requirements and the technologies being used:- A robust management structure has been put in place.- Development methodologies (Agile - Kanban)- Process management tools (JIRA, Confluence)- Software Deployment tools (GIT, Azure Publishing)- Staging and Disaster Recovery infrastructure has been put in place. - Foreseeable scalability has been covered (Azure)We also collaborated with other start-ups - most notably Resin.io in order to help implement our vision and our IoT solution.

E-Business Unit Manager for Profile S.A. responsible for the 15 strong team dedicated to providing all Web Solutions for Profile.This team was comprised of 10 developers, 3 graphic designers and 2 sales people.My tasks involved:• Project Management of all projects undertaken by the Unit.• Responsible for the Unit’s budget (expenses, invoices etc.) and the overall annual results. Production and implementation of annual action plan and financial plan in conjunction with Sales and Marketing departments.• All pre-sales activities for projects and Gap Analysis for potential or actual projects.• The development of all Projects and the technology to be used for each project and the method of integration with third party software when required.• The creation and continual upgrading of tools (Applications) for the management of the content of the site (Database) allowing the client as much dynamic control as possible regarding the site content (VB6, ASP, HTML).• Responsible for a large number of tools and services that are used by the Profile Group related to the Greek Stock Exchange and provide Profile Group customers with Real-time Stock Market information as well as other related statistics. This includes upgrading the tools/services to ensure compatibility with latest Microsoft products and continuous efforts to improve system efficiency.• Programming - .Net VB/C# (ASP/Applications), Visual Basic 6.0, ASP and HTML (also JavaScript, CSS).• RDBMS – Mainly SQL 2000 as well as Oracle 9i and 10g.
