What I would say is the most important aspect of this job (besides taking great care of animals) is delivering great customer service. Building trusting relationships with clients is essential in order to be successful; you must demonstrate the skills necessary to allow potential clients to feel safe letting you, a stranger, into their home and trust you with their beloved animals. Working for Rover, you need to be able to work independently, have great communication and people skills, and of course, doggie skills. Taking care of animals is rewarding, but a lot of effort goes into acquiring and keeping clients. Effective time management is a must; one must keep in mind their different client's varying time-frame preferences as well as calculate all the commute times.
