For the past couple of years, I have been entranced in learning software engineering. I've been jumping from language to language learning what they can do. The ability to make a device serve a tailor-made purpose or solve a problem is endlessly fun. The first class I took was a Java development class. After that, I enrolled at the Ogden Weber Technical College in software technologies. From those, I learned the basics of coding and began to expand on them with my own projects. One of my early projects was with Python. I used a Keras/TensorFlow neural network to solve simple ciphers for the science fair. It taught me how to use external libraries in my own code and since that project I've used a lot of tools that others have made. After that, I mostly focused on web development. I've learned back end code with Apache using Java and Node.js using Javascript. I am looking forward to working with a team to develop more feature-rich applications that can serve a greater purpose and reach a larger audience than my hobby projects. Solving larger problems and working with others is why I want to move my hobby into a career.
