Install software, set up networks, program routers, establish, troubleshoot and maintain critical communication connections for more than 2,700 end users at the US Coast Guard Academy. Core areas of responsibility involve planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.Respond to on average, 5-10 requests for resolution of hardware or software problems. Install and maintain telephone cables, lines, and cross connect as well as perform moves, adds, and changes to the telephone system.Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.Provide access and restricted access levels, and set up VPN.Authorized as a government purchase card holder, accountable to purchase tools, cable and supplies for projects. Manage the purchase request and follow the entire process, analyze end of the month statement charges and verify purchases made. Install and maintain hardware devices supporting a broad range of information systems employing multiple network and local operating systems and highly sophisticated server software.

Conducted investigations to provide key stakeholders with critical information concerning the quality and reliability of newly installed applications. Ran tests on software, debugged issues, and evaluated features to determine if the functionality operated as anticipated.
