Hello, my name is Fabio Modica and I was born in 1996 in Palermo. I'm a sound designer, sound engineer and composer. I have attained the Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Music, Sound Engineering and Sound Design at the Conservatory of Palermo "Alessandro Scarlatti" and I have attained the Master's Degree in Composition, Sound Design and Implementation for Videogames at the Conservatory of Rome "Santa Cecilia". I belong of a French label, "Fatstep Records", under the pseudonym "Motuka". Music and Sounds always were part of my life, since when I was just a child, studying and exercising self-taught guitar, my first instrument. Subsequently, in my adoloscence, I started to learn various software about music production and sound engineering as Cubase, FL Studio, Max MSP, Ableton Live, Sibelius, Musescore, Audio Mulch, iZotope RX, C Sound, Reaper. Next I attended a course for Sound Engineering at "Ultrasuoni Service" when I learnt basics of acoustic, psychoacoustics, electroacoustic, electrical engineering, mixing and mastering with practical experiencies in live situations. As composer I always experimented using various musical genres and focusing on sound design and on the quality of the projects when I developed and exercised with multimedia projects. I released with Fatstep Records my first EP of electronic music "91 Kamen" in 2018. Currently my workflow depends on what I have to make, considering all of these software and using for different projects C#, Wwise, Fmod and UE4 for audio implementation and sound design for videogames. I made also different audio plugins in VST format and, using the software Max MSP, an audio effect plugin called "Omper", for Ableton Live and personal use. My skills mainly concern granular synthesis but I'm able to work with FM, AM, RM, addictive synthesis, subtractive synthesis and synthesis for formant.
