About Fabio Moretti

I am a Nuclear Engineer with a PhD in Nuclear and Industrial Safety. I got my degrees from the University of Pisa, Italy. I am currently in charge of newcleo’s Thermal Hydraulics team, which aims to support both design and safety assessment of lead-cooled micro & small modular fast-fission reactors, with the help of 1D system thermal hydraulics and CFD code simulations.Since 2004 I have been involved, as TH/CFD/FEM analyst, team leader, project manager, etc., in many projects dealing with nuclear fission and fusion reactor design and safety assessment, nuclear power plant licensing, computer code validation, design and building of test facilities, etc., both in academic R&D frameworks and under industrial contracts, always in internationally oriented environments.I have always been looking forward to a nuclear renaissance, as a breakthrough toward a cleaner and healthier environment and a really sustainable management of the world’s energy resources.
