At CCSA my priorities were expanding awareness among the Latinx community on the advantages of a public school system that includes high-quality public charter schools. I produced stories featuring community members and formed alliances with organizations to grow the network of school choice advocates. I worked closely with the chief external officer in executing media relations activities, including conferences, pitching, and interviewing and documenting. I also collaborated with the director of digital strategy in branding maximizing marketing efforts. As one surpervisor put it: "I took [CCSA's] brand ...and transformed it into a living and breathing entity with character, meaning, and purpose."

As the Senior Manager of Community Engagement, I weas in charge of developing the Latinx digital engagement strategy and driving the creation of Spanish-language content. I work closely with colleagues, affiliates, members of the charter school community to identify stories that put a spotlight on the results and advantages of the existence of high-quality charter schools in California.
