Arts Alliance Media is Europe’s leading digital cinema company, providing financing, installation and integration of equipment, funding a digital cinema rollout of up to 7500 screens, under a Virtual Print Fee financing model and providing encoding, encryption and delivery services to distributors.As Associate Legal Counsel, my responsibilities include drafting, negotiating and amending agreements, including:• VPF based, complex, long term financing and supply agreements with major European cinema chains (Cineworld, Cinestar, CityScreen, Finnkino) for the roll out of digital cinema systems;• Agreements for the maintenance and support provided in relation to the equipment supplied to cinemas;• VPF based long term agreements with major international distributors (Fox, Universal, Sony, Paramount, Disney, Warner Brothers) and with major independent distributors in France, Spain, Italy and the UK;• Agreements for the international distribution of alternative content (live or recorded screening in cinemas of concerts, theatre shows, opera and sports events);• Agreements for the provision of content processing and distribution services to international film distribution companies;• Software licences and software re-sale/distribution licences; • Non-disclosure agreements; and• Employment and consultancy agreements.

Primarily I worked on a dispute which arose following a large leveraged buy out of a mobile operator in Italy. The work involved various European jurisdictions and the U.S. I reviewed and translated English, French and Italian documents for disclosure and drafted chronologies, Gant charts and memos for numerous legal and non legal researches. I also attended and participated at meetings with the client and drafted subsequent attendance notes and witness statements.
