As a Functional Consultant for ERP Systems, my role(s) are as follows:=> Business Process Analysis, Reengineering and Change Management - Obtaining knowledge of the recipient's / beneficiary's Business Processes; - Mapping the Client’s business scenarios on Microsoft Dynamics AX (the ERP System) and building up input fields in the like manner; - Acting as a communication channel between the client and Technical Consultants for interpreting the needs of the clients; - Coordinating with Technical Consultants for any development and customization requirements, including user and / or reporting requirements; - Obtaining an in-depth understanding the systems and controls in place; - Contemplating the database access hierarchies and setting up User Access Rights requirements in co-ordination with Technical Consultants; - Convincing the client management as well as the end-users to adopt the best practices; - Conducting end-user trainings on the ERP System with a Change Management perspective; and - Facilitating User Acceptance Testing in co-ordination with end-users.=> ERP Systems and Implementation Methodologies - Having an overall command of Microsoft Dynamics AX (the ERP system); - Creating business flows (As-Is Process Documentation), Functional Requirement Documents, Functional Specification Documents, Solution Design Documents and User Manuals related to the ERP System; - Supporting the end-user support team in better understanding their features resulting in overall better team output; - Using Microsoft Sure Step methodology (Microsoft’s SDLC approach) and Conference Room Pilot (CRP) approach to improve the quality of projects; - Conducting various knowledge transfer sessions to improve the team’s product knowledge; and - Ensuring satisfaction and approval the Client and meeting their expectations at all times.
