I started off my life journey by traveling the world and seeing things through a new lens. Automotive and mechanical engineering was my first passion, but then I delved into electrical engineering and software design. Getting my degree in mechanical engineering was the first step in my pursuit towards a meaningful career, which led me to start writing research papers in my field of interests. During my senior year of college, my professors and advisors gave me an idea that sparked a wide variety of pursuits. The project revolved around the development of non-invasive wearable devices for diabetic patients. Throughout this project, I dived deep into how diabetics go about their life, and what improvements can be made. Seeing patients pricking their fingers or having to purchase expensive CGMs inspired me to increase my knowledge on wearable devices and the prior art that already existed in the field. Eventually, after doing extensive research into IC circuitry, machine learning and python alongside my team, we were able to develop a prototypical device that linearized the relationship between glucose concentration and signal voltage. More recently, this research was published into IEEE access. Not only did this project motivate me to help patients, it strengthened my experience in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and R. Statistical analysis and machine learning were the key parameters to the success of this project, thus improving the implementation of this apparatus into a wearable device. Currently, I am pursuing my masters in electrical engineering and working on several research topics in the biomedical field relevant to glucose monitoring. In addition, I am working at a patent and trademark law firm that helps clients protect their inventions and namesakes. My duties generally include consulting on electrical engineering designs, SQL database design and functionality, Python graphical user interface debugging and general billing work.
