I'll contribute by helping with the department's administration, develop prospects, conduct market research, build relationships, and connect people to this wonderful organization. I am a proud graduate of Camp Hope and am a product of both the program and existing veteran network.

As the Chief of Staff for the VEL Institute, I manage organizational operations to include community outreach, engagement, event planning, course recruitment and all other related goals. As an executive, I provide proper leadership, guidance and recruitment for the Board of Directors. Most importantly, I execute these duties faithfully, ethically and in accordance with VEL's mission , vision and guiding principles. VEL Institute helps establish valuable relationships between Veterans, Entrepreneurs, and Leaders who demonstrate a heart to lead, want to connect with like-minded people, are driven to develop personally and professionally, and value learning from one another. VEL's educational programs provides a pathway toward both enlightenment and success. My pivot from a small business owner with a media backgroud to a full-time Psychology student came very organically. I understand the stigmas associated with PTSD and other mental health disorders. My ultimate goal is to become a Doctor of Psychology and rehabilitation expert that helps remove the negative perceptions of those in active recovery. Recovery is a beautiful place happening throughout communities around the world. A recovered lifestyle is difficult and in many ways enhances a resume. I’m excited about the possibilities.

TPTK, LLC started as a part-time media company offering event services, media engagement and high-end photography. Client list included 1-time contract with Black Collar Entertainment and hip-hop artist "Jeezy" in addition to well known professional and semi-professional dancers throughout Houston. Today, it takes a back seat to my education and will pivot with me into the recovery world. I hope to use my media background to raise awareness, highlight research and engage traditional media at events designed to help elimiate the stigma associated with PTSD and mental health recovery. There are some very outdated opinions of PTSD and other mental health disorders. I hope to help update our communal thinking.

During my 18-year career, I supported the world-wide communications, media engagement and outreach missions through 2 shipboard deployments to the Arabian Gulf, 1 Western Pacific deployment to multiple islands, and 1 boots-on-ground Afghanistan deployment with NATO. I released thousands of creative products resulting in millions of positive media impressions, supporting a variety of missions to include Maritime Security Operations; Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom; NATO contingency operations, counter insurgency operations and the transition of control from coalition to Afghan forces in Afghanistan. Led hundreds of outreach projects and provided hundreds of interviews at all levels of traditional press/radio. Planned and commanded more than a hundred convoy missions on routes classified as "high probability of attack." Led and mentored hundreds of service members throughout all military services.
