About Joseph FailsJoseph Fails is originally from Johnstown Pennsylvania on the outskirts of Pittsburg PA. He arrived in Massachusetts in 1983 to attend Law School. He attended Massachusetts School of Law as well as Northeastern School of Law; presently Joseph is a secondary high school educator who works for the Worcester Public School District. Joseph earned his Ed.S. in Secondary Education at Worcester State University, as well as earning his M.Ed in Administration. He also holds a B.S. in Psychology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Joseph has worked in urban school settings, since leaving Law School for nearly 20 years and has had a passion for working with at-risk youth. He has recently finished his research project titled Culturally Relevant Pedagogy: should it be a part of Curriculum in Urban Schools? His research has been submitted for publication in the Journal of Urban Education. He is also the founder of Fails Educational Consultant, which is a lecture service that provides workshops on understanding the importance of using culturally relevant pedagogy in developing close relationships between students of color and educators.
