Preserve Louisiana was founded in November of 1963 with the purpose of promoting local interest in the heritage of Baton Rouge and Louisiana. We use the resources of today to preserve the treasures of yesterday and improve the quality of tomorrow for ALL Louisianians.Our aim is to promote inclusive cultural awareness and to encourage economic growth that revitalizes our communities. We seek to unite community members and leaders, business people, historians, teachers, and preservationists in a coalition approach to historic education and preservation advocacy.The mission of Preserve Louisiana is to promote the preservation of the cultural and architectural heritage of Louisiana through education, advocacy, and stewardship.

As director of member services, Fairleigh is an advocate and ambassador for LANO statewide and helps convey the critical role that members play in the association’s overall impact and influence. She assures the ease of member enrollment and pursues retention and recruitment goals consistent with association growth and member satisfaction. Jackson also manages the LANO member network and communications, consisting of more than 600 member organizations and 13,000 individual members.LANO is a statewide member organization that advocates for the nonprofit community and strengthens the effectiveness of those committed to improving Louisiana.

Shaw Center For The Arts

The LSU Museum of Art, located on the 5th floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge, seeks to enrich and inspire through collections, exhibitions, conservation and education, serving as a cultural and intellectual resource for the University, Baton Rouge, and beyond.Jackson oversees Museum membership, development (including fundraising through individual, corporate, and foundation support), and advancement initiatives of the Museum.

The Community Fund for the Arts provides general operating costs to 14 member arts organizations in the Baton Rouge area. For more information visit www.cfabr.orgJackson managed all aspects of the CFA including but not limited to: fundraising for the $400,000+ annual campaign, work place giving campaigns, the annual review and admissions & allocations process for all member and potential member organziations, volunteer campaign cabinet, member organization committee, special events and daily operations of the CFA.

Handled individual and corporate gifts, planned events and fundraisers, and performed grant research and writing for the Club.

Full time ceramics instructor to students from 4 years old to 15 years old, taught both hand building and wheel throwing.

Head ceramics instructor, teaching an average of 50 children a day.
