I am a designer and researcher creating experiences for services and products that are rooted in human-centered design. My work has so far been primarily in the financial wellness, healthcare, and arts & culture domains - but I often explore other spaces too. Over the past 6 years, I have been involved in multiple social impact projects, playing a key role in research, synthesis, and intervention conceptualizing. Some of my favorite ones include studying the intersection of communities and vaccine hesitancy, designing for the nutritional behaviors of pregnant & lactating rural women, conceptualizing gender-inclusive digital financial services for low-income women, and redesigning a digital credit platform for small-scale merchants. These projects were executed in partnership with both international and local clients like Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IDEO, ReD Associates, UNDP, Bopinc, YUX Design, and Karandaaz.I have also taught design thinking, delivered a bunch of workshops, and gotten published in Touchpoint - a journal for service design. Underlying most of my work is a fixation with curating experiences for the overlooked, the afterthoughts, the odd ones out. This spills over to passion projects outside of work, too. One such initiative is Din Dhalay, a monthly gathering in Islamabad's public parks for open mics, pop-up galleries, and art therapy over board games and street food.
