I managed all keys, ID swipes, Resident Assistants, mail, and packages for three residents halls on the UMD campus. After a three step application and interview process, six weeks of training, and a final examination I became an official Imager campus tour guide for the University of Maryland. Currently our hour long tours are given virtually, though soon we will return to in person tours. I had to memorize 18 different stops, answers to FAQs, other important information, and tough questions so that I am a knowledgeable resource for tour participants. During training and through giving tours, I learned many skills such as oral communication and interpersonal relations, presentation abilities, leadership, customer service, and more.

I helped organize and run a virtual Model United Nations conference for over 120 students from various high schools on the east coast with the UMD Model United Nations club. I attend weekly meetings for training and planning, as well as additional special committee meetings with my fellow staff. I learned skills such as leadership, time management, effective communication and email skills, as well as mastering virtual tools.

In addition to these responsibilities of a student captain, I also chose to teach ballet to kids aged 3-18 at my local dance studio in addition to teaching my own classmates. I had learn how to manage class time and children appropriately, as well as communicate with parents and other teachers effectively.
