Mission:With more than a decade of experience in teaching, research and projects execution in areas of sustainability & clean energy systems, I aim for providing energy security and environmental sustainability for communities at the same time! Contribution to Industry:I've accomplished multiple projects in industry for LCA, EPD & ESG development from scratch to verification and benchmarking through team building and project management techniques for different products from batteries to electricity & hydrogen and from bio-based plastics to steel and concrete,. Through years of working with companies, wether SMEs or large OEMs, I've excelled in LCA of industrial systems at product and corporate levels by completing several EPDs for commercial use. I'm certified in GHG reporting & well-versed in ESG strategy & frameworks. I contributed to several supply-chain optimization projects through LCA and LCC for cost & environmental impacts minimization across value chain & advanced reporting through automation. Contribution to public knowledge&awareness:I'm a teacher & communicator in the area of sustainability, energy transition&security and hydrogen, my views are reflected by some major media outlets such as Voice of America, BBC News, AlJazeera, RFI (France Media), Independent, RFE/RL. I've been a volunteer and a part of leadership team of American Society of Mechanical Engineers in Ontario, Canada ever since 2018, where I served as chair & vice chair for Ontario section of ASME as well as being the founding chair of ASME Ontario Tech chapter. I've also been a mentor for different student teams from differenmt countries for global STEM competition. Most recently, our team which I was a technical manager for, won the silver medal for innovation in the First global chellenge 2024 and ranked 2nd globally out of 193 teams. Contribution to research and technology: Since 2014, I've been a part of research groups in different prestigeous institutions in different continents, carried out multiple highly recognized reserach in the area of energy sustainabilitry and hydrogen energy systems. Specifically, our research have presented novel techniques for H2 production via biomass gasification and thermochemical water splitting cycles. That involves promising approaches for incorporation of biochar and hydrochar of algal biomass for sustainable hydrogen production.
