Before venturing into the world of high-tech business ops, I was a successful and passionate entrepeneur. After earning a B.S. in biology, I began my career in clinical research working in big pharma before catching the start-up bug. In 2004, I co-founded Orbit Baby Inc. which was one of the most well known premier children's brands in the industry. Orbit products are sold in retail locations all over the world and are a well known celebrity favorite. As Co-Founder, I led efforts in Public Relations, Human Resources, Operations, Finance and Accounting while simultaneously earning my MBA in the evening program at Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business. As acting CFO, I was one of the key leaders in successfully negotiating and closing the sale of the company to Ergo Baby Inc., funded by Compass Diversified Holdings (NYSE: CODI) in 2011. After a few years working as a consulting CFO and specializing in assisting start-up and small companies with funding strategies,operational, accounting and financial planning as well as HR matters, I decided to pivot again in 2016 and have enjoyed bringing my many years of finance and operational experience to the high-tech world. I am an active volunteer in my community and have served on the board of local sports organizations and chaired major fundraising efforts for my children's public school.
