Fatima Gonzalez is a Legislative Intern for the U.S. Senate as part of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) internship program. The CHCI congressional internship program is a competitive and nationally renowned program whose mission is to develop the next generation of Latino leaders in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.Fatima is a senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science in History, Technology, and Society with a pre-law minor. She is an active leader on campus, serving as the founder and president of two student organizations: GRACIAS @ Tech and Kappa Alpha Pi. Additionally, Fatima is a dedicated and decorated scholar. She has made the President's List twice, the Dean's List four times, and earned the prestigious Gilman Scholarship in Fall 2023, enabling her to study abroad in Metz, France that semester. Fatima also holds a paralegal certificate from the University of Georgia. Fatima is proud to be the daughter of immigrants and is passionate about giving back to her Latino community. Upon being the first in her family to graduate from university, she plans to attend law school and become an attorney so she can be a powerful advocate for people in need.
