I was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, and raised in Tucson, Arizona, making that transition at such a young age set a foundation for me to have a growth mindset and a desire to constantly achieve more both personally and professionally. My passion for the medical profession comes from wanting to care for others in their most vulnerable state, being able to be one's helping hand in such a difficult time fills me with joy, and knowing that I'm part of a team that changes and saves lives every single day. This career not only gives me the ability to give my patients the best care but also mentor others on the importance of being a Surgical Technologist. As a Mexican-American in the field, being a resource for those who come from diverse backgrounds allows growth within the divergence in our healthcare community. My future goals to continue and educate on the significance of patient care fall within the desire of one-day practicing these ethics as an Emergency Medicine Physician.

  Specialized in maintaining aseptic technique during surgery, headed the preparation of the operating room, patient positioning and prioritized assisting surgeons and OR staff intra-operatively assessing for medical specimen. Cared for patient wound dressing, educated interns on the role of being a surgical technologist, as well as educating orienteers on hospital procedures, diversification of surgeons preferences in the OR and sterile processing.
