During my internship at Paterson Group, I gained hands-on experience in the Geotechnical, Hydrogeological, and Environmental departments contributing to several ongoing projects. My responsibilities included fieldwork such as surveying and drilling in the Geotechnical and Environmental sectors. I collected soil samples from test pits for the analysis of PAHs, PHCs, metals, and BTEXs, and was involved in installing and sampling monitoring wells for both the hydrogeological and environmental sectors. In the lab, I conducted tests using PIDs, assessed moisture content, and performed Atterberg limits tests. Additionally, I used QGIS software to organize and monitor projects, enhancing my ability to manage spatial data effectively. This role allowed me to apply my technical skills and deepen my understanding of both field and lab work in these specialized areas.
