The Laboratory of Excellence for Financial Regulation (LabEx-ReFi) is a research centre dedicated to the evaluation of regulation policies. It aims to improve the understanding of financial systems and regulations’ implications, and to provide public authorities with independent academic expertise and guidelines for action. The LabEx-ReFi has been created as an initiative of CNAM, ENA, University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (CES, PRISM and IRJS) and ESCP Europe.

Fields of expertise : MiFIR/MiFID 2, EMIR, prudential rules for credit institutions and investment firms (CRR/CRD 4, IFR), cyber-assets and ICOs, cybersecurity, data protection (GDPR) Association française des marchés financiers (AMAFI) is the trade organisation working at national, European and international levels to represent financial market participants in France. It acts on behalf of credit institutions, investment firms and trading and post-trade infrastructures, regardless of where they operate or where their clients or counterparties are located. AMAFI’s members operate for their own account or for clients in different segments, particularly organised and over-the-counter markets for equities, fixed-income products and derivatives, including commodities. Nearly one-third of members are subsidiaries or branches of non-French institutions.

- Definition of AMF positions, contribution to transposition workstreams of European financial markets regulatory texts into French regulation (MiFID 2/MiFIR, EMIR, REMIT, SFTR, CRR/CRD IV), production of memos- Contribution to internal workstreams on the new MiFID 2 inducements regime and the financing of research- Production of a paper on the regulatory definition of “hedging” by non-financial counterparties in the commodities futures markets, and hedging exemptions related to some MiFID 2 and EMIR texts and mechanisms: comparison with other interpretations (CFTC (USA) and IFRS standards), and the industry’s risk management common practices which led to meeting with a number of European key players; production of recommendations for ESMA
