I have had the privilege to work in various industries over the years despite the fact that I studied Microbiology during my undergraduate degree and graduated with a First class. I do have a passion for healthcare and would definitely do more in that aspect as time goes on. But working in other sectors has helped in shaping me and given me the chance to acquire relevant skills that would be super beneficial as I progress in my journey. I learnt how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint before going for my undergraduate degree. I learnt practical implementation of my course of study (Microbiology) during my internship with NAFDAC. After my studies while waiting to be deployed for service I worked as a Data Entry Clerk for APIN Public Health initiatives. During my Service year I worked as an Administrative assistant at Ajayi Crowther University and at the same time as a Sales and Marketing manager for Cynthiekoks Plug. I was recommended by the CLO to work alongside others as an Independent Monitor during the Polio vaccination in Oyo State where I was serving. After my service year, I worked for a while with my mum who owns a store before getting a job as a Research assistant for doctors such as Dr. Opeyemi Oshinowo of Massey Street Children's Hospital and Dr. Philip Oshun of LUTH. Presently I work as the Project Manager for Thurisa Labs. I took a project management course along side HRM and HSE courses during my service. I had absolutely no idea that an opportunity to work as a project manager would come along. I have acquired tech skills, negotiation skills, data entry skills, project management skills, hrm skills, hse skills, research skills, marketing skills, excellent communication skills, administrative skills, leadership skills, ability to work with little supervision and with others effectively. My professional journey is still a big work in progress but I am grateful for how far I have come and where I am headed.
