I used strong communication skills daily for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments & checking in and out patients for our five physicians.I also communicated through email and faxing documents. This all required critical thinking and a lot of teamwork within our practice. I worked on an EMR system, created and submitted medical claims. I worked with CPT & DX codes and followed up with health insurance carriers and collected patient payments at time of service or mailed payments.
