The whole reinsurance department of Manulife was sold to Pacific life with all the software running the business. As the application architect, I continued using the Framework that was developed for Manulife to build more applications, During my work in Pacific life, I lead the development team in many successful development projects to build more challenging applications and expanding the framework to cover more areas like (workflow development and managing SSIS).I created lot of utilities to help my users managing the client Inforce and transaction files, and providing a useful analytical tool to analyze their data.I designed and led the team to create a Generic mapping tool (very advanced ETL tool) which is the company way to define and control the loading of hundreds of insurance companies Inforce/Transaction data into our repository regardless of the different layouts and loading rules of these files which is out of our control. The tool withstood many challenges by other tools in the market for long years, and is still being used solely to load the insurance inforce files from all our clients.

During this period I designed and lead development team for building numerous business applications covering all aspects of Reinsurance and Retro business. Designed and lead the team to build a development framework implementing famous design patterns and utilizing an approach driven completely by business entities. The framework implemented within WCF. I developed a code generator which is driven by the business requirements, and creates more than 70% of the real code of all the assemblies defined by the framework. The framework and the code generator were used to build all the business applications for the reinsurance department (20+ applications covering the whole business). All applications are developed using vb.net with the backend SQL server database.
