To provide tax opinion to the clients;To perform ongoing review of all the transactions entered done or to be done by the client from taxation aspects;To ensure the proper compliance of Direct and Indirect laws in the matters related to the clients;To calculate the monthly TDS / TCS, quarterly Advance Income Tax, Self Assessment Tax u/s 140A, monthly Central Excise / Service Tax / VAT / CST / WCT liability for the client;To assist the client in calculating the impact of Accounting Standard 22 (Deferred Taxes) issued by ICAI;To assist the client in handling day-to-day affairs and correspondence with the Revenue Authorities and preparing replies to the letters/ notices issued by the Government departments like Income Central Excise department/Tax authorities;To assist the client in ERP (Oracle) implementation regarding the matters related to taxation as well as accounting related to taxation. Providing proper guidance to ERP team to understand the reports required for TDS/VAT /CST/Excise/Service Tax compliances or to prepare the export documents;To assist the client, regarding the taxation matters, in correspondence with the suppliers or customers and providing opinions as per the client’s requirement. Eg. one client had wrongly deposited a substantial amount of TDS without recovering the same from the payee and I assisted the client to get the same recovered from payee by convincing the payee to go for the refund route with I.T. Department ;To prepare reconciliation statement between tax credits, viz, CENVAT Credit, Input Tax Credit etc. as per statutory records and financial accounts.
