The first time I wrote code was back in the DOS Basic days, when I was a kid, and I was hooked. I have kept learning new languages ever since. After graduating I started doing web applications in Python and it’s been about 15 years of great learning. Back when I was working on my own I learned to go from taking user requirements all the way to deploy code to production. That’s when I developed an interest in operating systems, applications servers and deployment tools in general. So when I started working on teams I usually leaned on working on the backend and development tooling, like setting up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, doing devops work and platform engineering.When not coding or reading tech blog posts I like to cook and bake, my specialty are cookies. When I have some time off I like to travel, near or far it doesn’t matter, I enjoy getting to know new places, tasting their food and sightseeing. I have also started a Medium blog to write about my interests in tech, though I probably need to dedicate more time to it.
