MZA Events is the producer of AIDS Walk LA, AIDS Walk SF, and AIDS Walk NYC, MZA Events is a for-profit event production company for non-profit clients. During my brief time at MZA Events, I accomplished the following:•Within a 12 week time frame, created plan and budget, secured and trained 100+ volunteers and staff, selected multiple vendors, executed event and presented final evaluation and budget reconciliation for the 35 Beverage/ Aid Stations for the 2005 ING New York City Marathon.•Created media and outreach plan utilizing taxi top advertising, bus shelters, buses, billboards, magazine, newspapers, radio and television so that client had a sufficient yet cost-effective advertising strategy.•Secured the route, venue and necessary permits for an inaugural AIDS Walk Ft. Lauderdale, and worked closely with local partner (the AIDS Healthcare Foundation) to ensure the event would have local support.•Crafted press releases.•Took the initiative to create MZA’s first style manual for AIDS Walks in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York to ensure consistency of message and design.•Collaborated with a team of 40+ staff to produce AIDS Walk Los Angeles and AIDS Dance-a-Thon in New York City, which together raised nearly $3 million.

The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions is a non-profit organization which was formed in the late 1980's in celebration of the then-forthcoming 100th Anniversary of the first Parliament of the World's Religions (held at the 1893 World's Fair). The 1893 gathering is widely considered the historical birthplace of interreligious dialogue.•Instituted the organization’s annual giving program by consistently implementing quarterly direct mail appeals, thank-a-thons and newsletters.•Stewarded two $1 million donors and six $50,000 + donors over several years. Involvement included international travel, private donor events, and the creation of a documentary chronicling one donor’s family legacy back to the 1893 World’s Fair, which was considered the “birth place” of the The Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions.•Secured extensive national and international media coverage by ABC, National Public Radio, BBC World Service, The Associated Press, Religion News Service and several of the largest media outlets in Spain, India and Japan during the 2004 Parliament of the World’s Religions.•Managed the creation and distribution of tri-lingual brochures (English, Spanish and Catalan), newsletters and press kits distributed to over 30,000 individuals and organizations in more than 65 countries, which greatly expanded event visibility, drawing 10,000 participants to Barcelona, Spain for a week long gathering.•Spearheaded the modernization of agency website and the creation of a second, event-focused website, increasing organization’s visibility and credibility.•Served on the team to select the filmmakers from the 2004 Parliament documentary, working closely with producers and crew during film and post-production.•Managed budgets, timelines, agendas and minutes as co-chair of eight Task Forces, including public relations, community outreach and special events.•Participated in a 12 month strategic planning process with an organizational development firm.
